Turkish Mayors Present Infrastructure and Development Plans to Residents

Malatya Metropolitan Mayor Sami Er met residents in Yüzüncü Yıl City Park to discuss post‑earthquake reconstruction, ongoing infrastructure upgrades and a new gastronomy centre. He highlighted a ₺35 billion investment to replace asbestos water pipes, the construction of around 28,000 TOKİ housing units and plans for new settlements that could host over 200,000 people.

Alanya Mayor Osman Tarık Özçelik gathered shopkeepers and locals on Atatürk Avenue in Mahmutlar to hear their suggestions before launching a series of road and utility works. He stressed that citizen feedback will shape the projects and underscored the municipality’s commitment to direct public consultation.
