Kayseri mayors launch citizen‑question town‑hall meetings

Melikgazi Mayor Mustafa Palancıoğlu announced the next session of the “Citizen Asks, Mayor Answers” programme will take place on 15 June at 17:00 in front of the Takva Mosque in Yeniköy neighbourhood. He said, “Teknik ekibimle birlikte yarın Yeniköy Mahallemizdeki vatandaşlarımızla bir araya geliyoruz. Tüm hemşehrilerimiz davetlidir.” The initiative, organised by the AK Party’s Local Governance Directorate, aims to increase transparency and direct contact between municipal officials and residents across Kayseri.

Karatay Mayor Hasan Kılca had planned two neighbourhood meetings for 13 June – at Ulubatlı Hasan Park at 18:00 and Dolapoğlu Park at 19:30 – but postponed them because of rain. He told citizens, “Kıymetli hemşehrilerim, bugün gerçekleştireceğimiz mahalle buluşması programlarımız yağmur rahmeti dolayısıyla ileri bir tarihe ertelenmiştir,” and promised to announce new dates later.
