Turkish media figures İsmail Saymaz and Özgür Çakmakçı announce departures

Journalist İsmail Saymaz announced via social media that he will be leaving Halk TV at the end of August after approximately two years with the station. While Saymaz expressed gratitude to the owner, editorial staff, and viewers, he did not provide a specific reason for his decision or disclose his future professional plans.

Separately, Özgür Çakmakçı has resigned from his position as the Chairman of the Broadcasting Board at Koza TV. Çakmakçı, who had been part of the station's restructuring process for nine months, stated that his departure was due to a “principled difference of opinion” with the management. He noted that during his tenure, the station was transformed from a local outlet into a national news channel.
