National Defense University cadets undergo intensive training in Izmir

Cadets from the National Defense University (MSÜ) are undergoing intensive year-end training exercises in Izmir, Turkey, to prepare for future command roles. The training includes approximately 3,200 cadets, 350 of whom are guest military students from 32 friendly nations.

At the Land Forces Academy, students participate in rigorous activities such as long-distance endurance marches ranging from 8 to 32 kilometers, combat maneuvers, close-quarters combat training, and survival skills in natural environments. The curriculum also covers drone operation, mountaineering, and mine/improvised explosive device (IED) detection.

Simultaneously, non-commissioned officer candidates from the Air Force Vocational School are completing a four-week summer camp at the Aliağa Shooting and Training Center. These candidates focus on technical aircraft maintenance, weapon assembly, camouflage, and physical conditioning to support the Turkish Air Force's technological and national weapon systems.
