Turkish Ministry of Family and Social Services promotes social welfare initiatives

Turkish Minister of Family and Social Services Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş participated in the International Social Responsibility Forum in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. During the ministerial session, Göktaş emphasized the importance of centering family, children, and the elderly within corporate social responsibility frameworks. She stated that Turkey is prepared to share its experiences and deepen cooperation with partner nations, noting that the country's humanitarian aid leadership is rooted in a tradition of solidarity.

In a separate domestic initiative under the Ministry’s ‘İyilik Var’ (There is Goodness) project, Chef Somer Sivrioğlu visited the Göztepe Semiha Şakir Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Istanbul to mark International Day of Older Persons. Sivrioğlu and his assistant, Başak Daldaban, hosted a cooking activity with nursing home residents, teaching them to prepare a healthy savory cake using ingredients like corn flour and spices such as cinnamon and thyme to enhance flavor for aging palates.
