Turkish Ministry of Health operates 117 heart centers

The Turkish Ministry of Health has announced that 117 heart centers are currently providing advanced diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up services for cardiovascular diseases within public hospitals. This network includes 101 adult heart centers and 16 pediatric heart centers.

These facilities utilize advanced medical technology and specialized medical teams to coordinate cardiology and cardiovascular surgery. The centers play a critical role in managing advanced heart failure and facilitating transplant processes. According to official data, 46 heart transplants were performed last year, and 11 transplants have been completed in the first half of this year.

The Ministry emphasized the importance of early diagnosis and healthy lifestyle habits to mitigate the impact of cardiovascular diseases on life expectancy and quality of life.
