Turkish Ministry of Trade fines dealership over Tesla Model Y pricing

The Turkish Ministry of Trade has imposed an administrative fine on a dealership following investigations into the sale of Tesla Model Y vehicles at prices exceeding their official list price. The action was taken after consumer complaints regarding vehicles being sold for more than their brand-new counterparts.

During the inspection of three specific listings, officials determined that one vehicle's higher price was justified by the inclusion of Full Self-Driving (FSD) software. However, a second listing for a vehicle without additional equipment was found to be priced 170,015 TL above the current official list price, leading to the decision to apply a fine. A third individual seller's listing was found to be above the base price, but the ad was removed following a request from the Ministry to lower the price.
