Turkish Ministry of Trade partners with e-commerce firms to support women's cooperatives

The Turkish Ministry of Trade has signed a cooperation protocol with five major e-commerce platforms—Hepsiburada, N11, PTTAVM, Pazarama, and Trendyol—to support women's cooperatives. This initiative is part of the 2025-2029 Turkey Cooperativism Strategy and Action Plan.

The agreement aims to strengthen the digital market access and competitive power of cooperatives where the majority of members are women. Key benefits provided over a five-year period include free registration on the participating platforms and significantly reduced commission rates. Specifically, cooperatives will pay 0% commission for the first six months, followed by a 1% commission rate for the subsequent 4.5 years.

To increase market visibility, the platforms will feature cooperative products through homepage banners, special category sections, social media campaigns, and a dedicated ‘Cooperative Products’ label. The program is designed to accelerate digital transformation and expand the sales and marketing capacity of women-led cooperatives across Turkey.
