Turkish municipal clubs hold youth basketball and volleyball talent selections
Konya Büyükşehir Belediyespor organised a two‑day basketball talent search for players aged 9‑16 at the Osman Nuri Hekimoğlu Anadolu Lisesi Sports Hall. Hundreds of candidates from Konya and other cities were evaluated on coordination, endurance, speed, shooting, passing and game‑sense, with successful youngsters earning a place in the club’s youth programme.
Manisa Büyükşehir Belediyespor conducted a similar two‑day volleyball selection, assessing hundreds of young athletes on basic skills, physical attributes, coordination and tactical understanding. Club officials, including board members and the head coach, observed the trials and confirmed that the selected players will join the club’s development system.
Both events underscore Turkish municipal clubs’ investment in nurturing future sports talent through structured youth academies.
