Muğla Büyükşehir Belediyesi Leads Emergency Response After Seydikemer Forest Fire

A forest fire swept through several neighbourhoods of Seydikemer district in Muğla Province on 29 July, damaging homes, agricultural land and infrastructure. The Muğla Büyükşehir Belediyesi deployed teams from its Disaster and Risk Management Department, fire brigade, environmental protection, health, social services and other units to conduct damage assessments and begin repairs.

A damage‑assessment commission will compile a report, after which the municipality will provide targeted assistance to affected households and farmers. Mayor Ahmet Aras affirmed that the city will continue to support residents and restore the area as quickly as possible.
