Turkish municipalities complete hospital infrastructure and parking projects
In Sakarya, municipal authorities are nearing the completion of critical infrastructure for the new 1,000-bed City Hospital. Mayor Yusuf Alemdar reported that a 2,000-meter main sewage connection is currently being finalized, with full infrastructure works expected to conclude next week. The total project includes 5,900 meters of drinking water and sewage lines.
In Bursa, the Metropolitan Municipality has opened a new 1,250-vehicle capacity parking lot at the Bursa City Hospital complex to alleviate traffic congestion. The 31,500-square-meter facility was completed on schedule and includes the renovation of 700 meters of internal roads. Hospital Chief Physician Doç. Dr. Salih Metin noted that the addition brings the total parking capacity at the site to 4,500 vehicles, addressing the needs of a facility that serves up to 16,000 patients during winter months.
