Turkish municipalities expand urban parking infrastructure
Municipalities in Turkey are implementing new parking infrastructure projects to improve urban mobility and service access.
In Manisa, the Manisa Metropolitan Municipality has opened a new 500-vehicle capacity parking lot at the Perşembe Pazarı area following roof renovations and asphalt work. To reduce traffic congestion and support local businesses, the first two hours of parking will be free during the four days of the week when the market is not held.
In Ordu, the Ordu Metropolitan Municipality is expanding the parking capacity for the under-construction Ordu City Hospital. The planned capacity is being doubled from 2,000 to 4,000 vehicles to accommodate future visitors. Mayor Dr. Mehmet Hilmi Güler stated that work on emergency roads, stops, and parking is being conducted in cooperation with the Ministries of Health and Transport.
