Turkish municipalities host free traditional circumcision festivals

Kartepe Municipality opened registrations for its 16th traditional circumcision festival, offering free procedures for boys. Applications must be submitted with required documents by 24 July 2026.

In Düzce, the municipality partnered with the Ministry of Culture and Tourism’s Charitable Directorate to hold a collective ceremony for 62 boys. The event featured a parade from Cedidiye Square to Anıtpark, an off‑road convoy, cultural dances, bicycle gifts and entertainment for families.
