Turkish municipalities increase inspections and emergency responses
Various Turkish municipalities have reported intensive enforcement and emergency response activities. In Kayseri, the Metropolitan Municipality Zabıta Department conducted 2,314 inspections throughout July to maintain public order and health. These efforts included monitoring 355 street vendors, 171 commercial vehicles, and 195 markets, resulting in 305 legal actions.
Additionally, the Kayseri Fire Department responded to 2,034 incidents in July, including 1,360 fires, 567 rescues, and 100 traffic accidents. The department also provided training to 1,677 citizens.
In Edremit, municipal teams increased inspections at the Altınoluk Tuesday Market, focusing on cleanliness, price labeling, and stall organization. Meanwhile, in Kepez, municipal officers cleared illegal street vendors from the area surrounding the Emek Neighborhood Open Market to restore pedestrian and vehicle access to public spaces.
