Turkish municipalities launch cleaning and road upgrades in Bayburt and Bayraklı
Bayburt Municipality increased field operations to curb insect and pest populations ahead of the summer months. Teams targeted breeding sites such as stream beds and stagnant water, applying larvicides and conducting thorough cleaning of public transport stops, streets and alleys to improve hygiene and reduce the risk of infestations.
Bayraklı District Municipality announced simultaneous asphalt laying, stone‑paving and landscaping works aimed at creating safer roads, more orderly streets and a more livable neighbourhood. The initiative focuses on improving vehicle comfort on busy thoroughfares and providing modern sidewalks for pedestrians, with plans to extend similar upgrades to other neighbourhoods.
Both local administrations emphasized the goal of enhancing public health, safety and overall quality of life for residents.
