Turkish municipalities launch commercial premises tenders and deliveries to ease rental shortages

Şabanözü Municipality announced an open‑auction tender for three municipal commercial units located in the town centre. The properties – two ground‑floor shops in the historic Osmanlı building and one mezzanine unit on a neighboring plot – will be leased for three years under the State Procurement Law. Bids must be submitted by 14:00 on 23 June 2026 at the municipality’s Encümen hall, with required documentation including identity proof and tax clearance.

In Battalgazi, Mayor Bayram Taşkın inspected the ongoing construction of Bakırcılar Çarşısı alongside Emlak Konut officials. He reported that roughly 1,200 new business premises are slated for hand‑over by the end of August, including about 400 units in Saray Mahallesi and 800 between Yeni Cami and Emeksiz Caddesi. The deliveries are expected to reduce the local shortage of rental shop space and help stabilise rents for small traders.

Both initiatives aim to increase the supply of commercial premises in their respective districts, addressing demand from small‑business owners and improving local market conditions.
