Turkey's 2026 Karne Day: 18 million students receive report cards on June 26

Turkey’s Ministry of National Education has set June 26, 2026 as the day for distributing end‑of‑year report cards (karne) to roughly 18 million primary and secondary students. The nationwide ceremony marks the conclusion of the 2025‑26 academic year and the start of a three‑month summer break.

Most schools will operate only a half‑day on karne day, with report cards typically handed out between 09:00 and 12:00. Local variations may shift the exact hour, but the Ministry expects the bulk of distributions to occur in the morning. After the karne ceremony, teachers will begin a short professional‑development seminar before the holidays.

Regional figures were also released: Aydın province will hand out karne to 190,553 students, while the Ministry’s calendar shows that the new school year will resume on 14 September 2026. The coordinated rollout underscores the government’s effort to provide a clear, uniform schedule for students, parents, and schools across the country.
