Turkish Municipalities Launch Local Infrastructure and Heritage Projects

Kahta Municipality in Adıyaman province began a comprehensive landscaping and restoration effort at the Ebu Sadık tomb, aiming to clean, repair and improve the surrounding area for visitors. Mayor Mehmet Can Hallaç said the site is “a sacred bridge between our past and future” and stressed the need to preserve cultural heritage while providing a peaceful environment for worship.

In Beyağaç, Muğla province, the municipality completed a new social centre in the Uzunoluk neighbourhood. The facility will host weddings, religious gatherings and other community events, addressing a long‑standing demand for a communal space. Mayor Sezayi Pütün highlighted that the project will “enhance the quality of life” and praised the support of the metropolitan mayor for rural development.

Both initiatives reflect local government efforts to upgrade public amenities and preserve cultural sites in Turkey.
