Turkish municipalities launch new child education and play parks

Municipalities in Turkey are launching new social and educational facilities for children. In Atakum, the Atakum Municipality has begun construction of a 6,200-square-meter Traffic Education Park in the Çobanözü neighborhood. The project includes a 4,000-square-meter area where children will learn traffic rules through practical application using battery-operated vehicles. The park will feature realistic elements such as intersections, roundabouts, pedestrian crossings, traffic lights, and bus stops. Training will be conducted by expert instructors and traffic police, and the facility will include a classroom capable of hosting 40 children simultaneously, along with amenities like nursing rooms and accessible restrooms.

In Ordu, the Altınordu Municipality has opened the city’s first Baby Park located within the Durugöl neighborhood’s Traffic Education Park. Designed specifically for children aged 0–3, the facility offers interactive play areas including trampolines, ball pits, and wooden toys. The park is equipped with antibacterial air purification and provides both indoor and outdoor spaces to ensure comfort in various weather conditions. To support families, the park includes a cafe, observation areas with television screens for monitoring children, and dedicated nursing and diaper-changing rooms.
