Turkish municipalities launch urban infrastructure and green space projects

Municipalities in Turkey are advancing various urban development and infrastructure projects. In Kartal, the municipality is implementing a green transformation initiative aimed at increasing the district's green spaces by approximately 8,500 square meters. As part of this effort, a new 1,466-square-meter social living area is being developed in the Yakacık Çarşı neighborhood, featuring a playground, an outdoor fitness area, and a 125-meter running track, alongside a new connection road to Kartal Avenue to improve local traffic flow.

In Sakarya, the foundation has been laid for the North Bridge, a key component of the Yazlık Multi-level Junction Project. The 1,600-meter dual carriageway bridge is designed to alleviate traffic congestion between Yenikent and the city center, allowing drivers to bypass the Yazlık Junction. Sakarya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Yusuf Alemdar noted that the project addresses increasing population density and proximity to the City Hospital, serving as a vital transportation axis for the region.
