Turkish Municipalities Launch Youth and Disabled Creative Workshops

The Maltepe Municipality in Istanbul concluded a four‑week "İçimdeki Sahne Yaratıcı Psikodrama Atölyesi" for children and young people aged 10‑22. The program, run by the Social Support Education Center (SEDEM), focused on self‑awareness, communication, responsibility and reducing screen‑time addiction. A graduation ceremony awarded certificates, attended by Deputy Mayor Nimet Karabulut and Women and Family Services Director Gülay Kılıç.

In Selçuk, the Efes Selçuk Municipality’s Engelsiz Yaşam Merkezi offered macramé and creative drama workshops for people with disabilities. Participants learned new craft skills, improved confidence, and practiced communication and empathy through group activities, supporting greater social participation and independence.
