Turkish municipalities organize free circumcision festivals for children

Üsküdar Municipality in Istanbul has opened applications for its 2026 free circumcision festival, offering surgical procedures and clothing support to children from low‑income families. Applications can be submitted online or in person until 12 July, with the aim of providing safe health services without financial burden for families.

In Çorum, the General Directorate of Foundations staged a mass circumcision ceremony for 30 children benefiting from social assistance. The event included a visit to local cultural sites, speeches by the provincial governor and the mayor emphasizing the religious and charitable significance, and the distribution of gifts such as gold gram, bicycles and other items.
