Turkish municipalities roll out women‑tour programs across Denizli and Yıldırım
The Denizli Metropolitan Municipality continued its "Together We Walk, Together We Know, Together We Strengthen" project, taking women from rural districts on guided tours of the town’s natural and historic sites. Participants visited the Inceğiz Canyon and Kale viewpoint in the Kale district, part of a series of visits lasting until August 7 that will also include women from Buldan, Güney, Bekilli, Çallı and many other districts.
In Yıldırım, the district municipality organised free "Mavi Tur" sea trips for local women, sailing from Mudanya through Fıstıklı, Armutlu and Tirilye. Hundreds of women joined the excursions, which run until August 31, offering a day of recreation and social interaction. Mayor Oktay Yılmaz emphasized the aim of enhancing residents’ quality of life through both infrastructure and social projects.
Both initiatives aim to strengthen social ties, promote local culture and provide recreational opportunities for women in their communities.
