Turkish municipalities upgrade mosque sites in Trabzon and Kocaeli

Ortahisar Municipality in Trabzon Province completed road widening, concrete paving and a retaining wall around the Özbirlik Mosque, improving safety and giving the area a more modern appearance. The work was overseen by Mayor Ahmet Kaya, involved local officials and residents, and received support from the Trabzon Metropolitan Municipality.

In Gebze, Kocaeli, the Büyükşehir Belediyesi Anne Şehir Gönüllüleri volunteers cleaned the interior and exterior of Çoban Mustafa Paşa Mosque, planted flowers in its garden and highlighted the role of volunteerism and environmental awareness in community service.
