Turkish National Basketball Team announces World Cup Qualifier roster

The Turkish Men's National Basketball Team has announced its candidate roster for the second round of the 2027 FIBA World Cup European Qualifiers. Competing in Group J, the team aims to secure a spot in the tournament by finishing in the top three of their group.

Turkey's schedule begins on August 28, 2026, with a home game against Lithuania at the Turkcell Basketball Development Center. This will be followed by an away match against Iceland on August 31, 2026, at the Laugardalshöll Arena. The qualification process will continue through November 2026 and into early 2027.

The Group J competition includes Turkey, Italy, Serbia, Lithuania, Iceland, and Bosnia and Herzegovina. The announced roster features several notable players, including Cedi Osman, Adem Bona, Furkan Korkmaz, and Sertaç Şanlı, with newcomers Ömer Kutluay and Darius Karutasu receiving their first call-ups to the senior national team.
