Turkish officials and students hold solidarity events for Palestine

In Trabzon, Mayor Ahmet Metin Genç attended the opening of a charity bazaar organized by the Free Aksa Trabzon Platform and the Trabzon Women's Civil Initiative to support Palestine. During the event, Genç described the situation in Gaza as a crime against humanity and criticized the perceived ineffectiveness of international organizations, including the United Nations. He expressed support for President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s stance on the conflict and called for continued solidarity with the Palestinian people.

Similarly, at Necmettin Erbakan University in Konya, students and academics organized a ‘Gaza March’ and an exhibition at the Ahmet Keleşoğlu Faculty of Theology. Dean Prof. Dr. Kamil Güneş addressed the participants, emphasizing the importance of communal awareness regarding the suffering in Gaza and advocating for the continued boycott of Israeli products as a form of social responsibility.
