Turkish officials call for improved healthcare services in Baskil and Batman
In Baskil, official Arslan has emphasized the need to strengthen the capacity of the Baskil District State Hospital. Current services include family medicine, pediatrics, internal medicine, dentistry, emergency services, and home health care. Arslan noted that the hospital's specialist staff, medical device infrastructure, and diagnostic capabilities require development to prevent residents from having to travel to Elazığ center for advanced examinations.
To support rural populations, Arslan advocated for increased mobile health services and improved emergency transport, particularly for remote villages during winter months. He highlighted the importance of regular health screenings and better access for the elderly, pregnant women, and chronic patients.
In Batman, AK Party Provincial Chairman Hüseyin Şansi visited the Batman Training and Research Hospital to mark Leukemia Children's Week. During the visit, Şansi met with children undergoing treatment and their families to discuss their needs and concerns. He emphasized that healthcare should be human-centered, focusing not just on medical treatment but also on ensuring patients and families feel supported and secure.
