Turkish local officials hold nationwide ‘Citizens Ask, Leaders Answer’ forums

Mayors and local leaders in several Turkish districts met residents under the AK Party’s “Vatandaş Soruyor, Başkan Cevaplıyor” (Citizens Ask, Leaders Answer) program. In Karatay (Konya), Mayor Hasan Kılca fielded questions on education, sport and health projects, while in Canik (Samsun) Mayor İbrahim Sandıkçı highlighted an AI‑supported solution centre that resolved 97 % of citizen requests. Çorum Mayor Dr. Halil İbrahim Aşgın presented ongoing urban‑transformation works, new parks and a youth centre, and announced further environmental infrastructure.

In Istanbul’s Kağıthane district, Mayor Mevlüt Öztekin detailed recent investments such as new cultural centers, parking facilities and a water‑treatment plant. Malatya MP Bülent Tüfenkci visited Akçadağ’s Kozluca neighbourhood, listening to residents’ needs and promising continued collaboration. Across all events, officials emphasized direct dialogue, rapid response to citizen demands and plans for upcoming projects.

These gatherings illustrate a coordinated effort by the ruling party’s local‑government wing to engage the public and showcase municipal development initiatives.
