Turkish officials tour rural villages in Çanakkale and Nevşehir
Çanakkale Governor Ömer Toraman visited the Pıtıreli Village Agricultural Development Cooperative in Bayramiç district. Accompanied by his wife and local officials, he inspected the cooperative’s facilities, learned about the production of the region’s protected‑designation Bayramiç olive oil, and met with 266 producers—33 women and 233 men—who operate activities such as milk collection, olive‑oil processing and feed milling. The cooperative, operating since 1973 and modernised with a 2013 rural‑development project, was highlighted for its role in the village economy.
In Avanos, Nevşehir, MP Filiz Kılıç and Mayor Mustafa Kenan Sarıtaş visited Bozca village. The delegation, joined by local MHP party members, listened to residents’ requests, provided fresh bread from the municipal bakery and emphasized continued dialogue with rural citizens. Both visits aimed to strengthen ties between local authorities and the communities they serve.
