Turkish officials visit AFAD in Elazığ and TEI in Eskişehir after recent disasters

Member of Parliament Ejder Açıkkapı inspected AFAD’s ongoing work in Elazığ, reviewing activities carried out since the 24 January 2020 and 6 February 2023 earthquakes. He praised AFAD staff for search‑and‑rescue, damage assessment, temporary housing, cash‑aid, permanent housing construction and coordination with local authorities.

In Eskişehir, Büyük Birlik Partisi (BBP) provincial chairman Taha Baksan led a delegation to the Turkish Aerospace Engines (TEI) facility, which recently suffered a fire. The party expressed support for the plant’s staff, noted that no fatalities occurred, and reaffirmed backing for Turkey’s domestic defence‑industry projects.
