Turkish officials visit martyr families and cemeteries

In commemoration of the 104th anniversary of Victory Day, officials in Samsun visited martyr cemeteries to pay respects. During the ceremony, local leaders including Governor Orhan Tavlı and military commanders laid flowers at the gravesites and held prayers. Among those present was Gülbahar Çayıroğlu, the mother of Infantryman Umut Bulut, who shared her grief regarding the loss of her son 14 years ago.

In Aydın, AK Party Member of Parliament Seda Sarıbaş and a delegation visited the family of Mevlüt Öztürkmen, who was martyred in Ardahan in 1997. During the visit, the family recounted the circumstances of the loss. Sarıbaş emphasized the government's commitment to supporting martyr families and discussed the importance of national unity and the ongoing efforts toward a 'terror-free Turkey' to prevent such tragedies in the future.
