Turkish organizations condemn threats against President Erdoğan
Various Turkish organizations have issued statements in support of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan following recent threats and perceived disrespect toward his office.
The Nazilli Erzurumlular Social Assistance and Solidarity Association held a press conference where President Yüksel Karabıyık condemned an incident targeting the Presidency, describing it as an “unacceptable and heinous attack.” The association called for the identification and legal punishment of those responsible, emphasizing that while individual leaders are temporary, the sanctity of the Presidency remains constant.
Additionally, Prof. Dr. Muhammet Enes Kala, President of the Union of Turkish Writers, responded to threats directed at President Erdoğan and Turkey. Kala asserted that Turkey’s calls for justice and peace, particularly regarding the Palestinian issue, cannot be silenced by hostility. He criticized the Netanyahu administration for its role in the humanitarian crisis in Palestine and argued that threats against Turkey will not overshadow its stance on global injustices.
