Turkish Parliament delegation visits Colombia for TİKA project openings
A delegation from the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM), led by Tuba Vural Çokal, visited Colombia to inspect Turkish institutional operations and attend several project openings.
In Bogota, the delegation met with the Turkish Ambassador, Emir Salim Yüksel, and visited offices for the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) and the Türkiye Maarif Foundation. The visit included attending ceremonies for several initiatives, such as the Mundo Ambiental Recycling Project in Mosquera, the equipping of training rooms at the Bogota Employment Agency in the Bronx Creative Talent Center, and the opening of the “Yaratıcı Eller” (Creative Hands) Colombia-Turkish Graphic Arts Workshop.
During the visit, Çokal highlighted the importance of TİKA-led projects and emphasized the significance of the Zero Waste movement, noting that the initiative launched in 2017 under the auspices of Emine Erdoğan has gained international recognition, leading the United Nations to declare March 30 as International Zero Waste Day.
