Turkish Parliament Speaker Numan Kurtulmuş to Visit Finland and Sweden June 1‑5
Turkey’s Grand National Assembly speaker Numan Kurtulmuş will lead a parliamentary delegation on an official visit to Finland and Sweden from 1 to 5 June. In Helsinki, he will hold one‑on‑one talks with Finnish Parliament speaker Jussi Halla‑Aho, meet President Alexander Stubb and Foreign Minister Elina Valtonen, attend a gathering of the Finland‑Turkey Inter‑Parliamentary Friendship Group, visit the Turkish‑Tatar community centre and meet Turkish residents, and tour Finnish technology firms.
After the Finnish leg, the delegation will travel to Stockholm, where Kurtulmuş will meet Swedish Parliament speaker Andreas Norlen, attend the Swedish Parliament’s plenary session, join a round‑table at the Swedish Institute of International Relations, and hold discussions on regional and global issues. He is also slated to meet Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson and attend Friday prayer at the Fitija Mosque with the Turkish community.
