Turkish parliamentary delegation visits Brazil to strengthen regional ties

A delegation from the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM), led by Ali Şahin, head of the Turkish Delegation to the Latin American and Caribbean Parliament (PARLATINO), conducted visits in Sao Paulo, Brazil. The mission focused on strengthening relations between Turkey and Brazil, as well as expanding Turkey's engagement with the broader Latin American and Caribbean region.

During the visit to the Turkish Consulate General in Sao Paulo, the delegation discussed enhancing parliamentary diplomacy, political relations, and economic and commercial cooperation. Discussions also centered on increasing mutual investments and developing political, cultural, and human ties between Turkey and Latin American nations.

Additionally, the delegation met with representatives of the Islamic community in Brazil. Ali Şahin met with Sheikh Jihad Hammadeh, Deputy President and Religious Advisor of the Brazilian Islamic Jurists Association (ANAJI), to discuss the status of the Muslim community in Brazil, including religious and social activities, educational efforts, and humanitarian aid.
