Turkish Parties Name New Provincial Leaders in Ardahan and Iğdır

The Justice and Development Party (AK Party) announced that lawyer Bayram Yıldız has submitted his official application to become the party’s candidate in Ardahan. Yıldız, a 1995‑born Ardahan native and former head of the provincial Bar Discipline Board, emphasized his lifelong support for President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and the party’s vision, pledging to serve his hometown and advance the AK Party’s goals.

The Republican People’s Party (CHP) appointed Halil İbrahim Artantaş as its new provincial chairman in Iğdır. Artantaş, a teacher of about 15 years, thanked CHP leader Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu and the party’s caucus, promising inclusive service regardless of language, religion, ethnicity or political view. He highlighted the party’s aim to make the local office a “father’s house” for all citizens and vowed to work with his team to address Iğdır’s problems.
