Turkish police motorbike units transport students to YKS exam despite delays

In Denizli, students who arrived without identity documents were taken by police on motorcycles to the local population directorate, issued temporary ID papers, and then escorted back to their schools in time for the test.

In Istanbul’s Beyoğlu district, a candidate who had forgotten his ID at home was driven by municipal motorbike police to the population office, received a substitute document within roughly 20 minutes, and reached the exam venue, where he was welcomed with applause. One mother thanked the officers, saying, "Allah yardımcınız olsun." The coordinated police response helped thousands of candidates avoid missing the crucial exam.
