Turkish police launch simultaneous security operations in Elazığ and Konya

In Elazığ, the provincial police directorate coordinated a city‑wide security sweep involving dozens of units. Officers stopped and searched vehicles, checked driver IDs, used drug‑sniffing dogs, and inspected entertainment venues, aiming to deter crime, capture fugitives and enforce legal compliance.

In Konya’s Karapınar district, police carried out a similar "huzur" (peace) operation, deploying large numbers of officers and drone surveillance. Drivers, vehicles and individuals suspected of wrongdoing were examined, several people with arrest warrants were detained, and numerous administrative and judicial actions were taken. Both operations were presented as ongoing measures to protect public safety and maintain order.
