Turkish political leaders discuss potential cooperation and alliances
Leaders of the Yeniden Refah, Saadet, and DEVA parties have held discussions regarding potential political cooperation and election alliances in Turkey. Fatih Erbakan, leader of the Yeniden Refah Party, met with Saadet Party leader Mahmut Arıkan to discuss common steps for the upcoming period, emphasizing the importance of parties with 'Milli Görüş' sensitivities working together to strengthen their representation in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey.
Following discussions at the Parliament, DEVA Party leader Ali Babacan joined the meeting. The leaders discussed Turkey's current political agenda, including economic issues, social policies, and foreign policy. While Mahmut Arıkan expressed conditional support for processes aimed at ending terrorism, emphasizing the need to address legal irregularities, Erbakan noted that parties with similar political lines should strengthen their relationships and could take concrete steps together if necessary to achieve management change in the country.
