Turkish political parties address internal disputes and fund allegations

Political leaders from Turkey's AK Party and CHP have addressed recent internal tensions and controversies.

AK Party Deputy Chairman Hüseyin Yayman spoke regarding a fund controversy involving the Uşak Municipality. Yayman stated that the party will take necessary sanctions and sever ties with any individuals found to have violated public law or the rights of the nation in relation to this matter. He emphasized that processes are underway to ensure justice is served.

Meanwhile, CHP Spokesperson Müslim Sarı addressed members of his party in Uşak following departures of certain officials. Sarı categorized those leaving into two groups: those seeking political gain and those genuinely affected by recent debates. He urged remaining members not to show disrespect to those who left and advised departing members not to close doors too firmly, suggesting they may return. Sarı also noted difficulties in organizing congresses due to internal organizational disputes regarding leadership legitimacy.
