Turkish Presidency of Defense Industries visits Erzurum Technical University

A delegation from the Presidency of Defense Industries (SSB), led by Zübeyde Arslanoğlu, Head of the R&D and Technology Management Department, visited Erzurum Technical University (ETÜ) to discuss strategic cooperation and the development of domestic technologies.

During the visit, the delegation met with ETÜ Rector Prof. Dr. Bülent Çakmak and university management to evaluate how the institution's scientific research capacity and technological infrastructure can support the defense industry's priorities. The group also inspected the High Technology Application and Research Center (YÜTAM).

Technical presentations were delivered regarding ongoing research in biotechnology, battery technologies, additive manufacturing, photonics, and two-dimensional materials. Discussions focused on developing innovative battery thermal management systems and the production of strategic biotechnological products. The visit aimed to establish a foundation for joint R&D projects to integrate academic research into national technological initiatives.
