Fifteen‑year‑old Turkish Grandmaster Yağız Kaan Erdoğmuş achieved a 2,716 Elo rating at the Biel Chess Festival, propelling him to the No. 1 spot in the FIDE under‑20 (juniors) world rankings and surpassing Indian champion Gukesh Dommaraju. The surge moved him 61 places in a year, placing him 27th in the overall global standings.
