Turkish public institutions announce large-scale recruitment drives

Several Turkish public institutions have announced large-scale recruitment drives for permanent and contract personnel.

Kıyı Emniyeti Genel Müdürlüğü, under the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, is hiring 173 permanent workers. The positions include sailors, engineers, and office staff. Specific quotas include 80 sailors, 72 oilers, 8 second captains, and 8 second engineers, with additional specialized roles in Çanakkale and Istanbul. Candidates are required to meet specific educational standards and KPSS score requirements.

Separately, Balıkesir University is concluding applications for 309 contract personnel positions. The application process, conducted via the Kariyer Kapısı platform, ends on August 17, 2026. Applicants must personally deliver their 'Candidate Application Information' documents to the university's Personnel Department by August 21, 2026, to be considered. Selection will be based directly on 2024 KPSS (B) group scores without written or oral exams, with results expected to be announced on September 25, 2026.
