Turkish railway sector sees new recruitment and vehicle procurement

Turkey is seeing new developments in railway infrastructure and personnel recruitment. The National Rail Systems Test and Research Center (URAYSİM) has announced the recruitment of permanent public workers for its facilities in Alpu, Eskişehir. The positions include mechanical, plumbing, and climate control technicians, as well as IT and technical support specialists. Applicants must have an associate degree and at least three years of experience.

In Şanlıurfa, the Metropolitan Municipality is launching a tender to procure 14 light rail system vehicles to strengthen urban transportation. The tender is scheduled for October 13, 2026, with a planned delivery timeline of 24 months following the contract signing. The project includes the procurement and commissioning of the vehicles to improve the city's transit infrastructure.
