Turkish rally driver Ali Türkkan crashes out of Greece's Acropolis Rally
Turkish rally driver Ali Türkkan and his co‑pilot Oytun Albayrak suffered a serious crash during the Acropolis Rally in Greece. The accident occurred on the 12th kilometre of the stage at a jump section, where the vehicle's front struck the ground hard and the car was forced off the course.
Both competitors were forced to withdraw from the rally. Ali Türkkan was reported to be in good health after the impact, while Oytun Albayrak was taken to a hospital for precautionary checks. The incident prompted a temporary suspension of the rally while first‑aid teams reached the scene and safety protocols were enacted.
The crash ended the Turkish team’s participation in the event before its conclusion.
