Turkish Red Crescent hosts cooking workshop in Nevşehir

The Turkish Red Crescent held its tenth ‘Cooking with Kindness’ (İyilikle Pişen Hayatlar) workshop in Nevşehir, aimed at supporting the employment of women affected by the February 6 earthquakes. The event took place at the Turkish Red Crescent Nevşehir Soup Kitchen, located within the historic Damat Ibrahim Pasha Complex.

Twenty women from Osmaniye participated in the two-day program. During the first day, participants received training in basic international cuisine from chefs Türev Uludağ and Duran Özdemir. The second day focused on professional kitchen skills and experience sharing led by chefs Serhat Doğramacı and Semihcan Temiz.

Murat Solak, General Manager of Communication and Donation Management at the Turkish Red Crescent, stated that the program aims to foster solidarity and provide professional culinary skills to open new opportunities for participants. To date, the organization has organized ten workshops across eight different provinces to assist women in earthquake-affected regions.
