Turkish Red Crescent provides food aid to 500 families in Kirkuk

The Turkish Red Crescent has distributed food parcels to 500 families in need in Kirkuk, Iraq, as part of a broader humanitarian campaign in Iraq and neighboring countries. The aid packages contain essential items such as rice, flour, legumes, and oil, intended to meet a family's basic needs for approximately one month.

Çetin Beyatlı, the head of the Turkish Red Crescent delegation in Iraq, stated that the organization plans to distribute another 500 food parcels in Baghdad and aims to reach a total of 1,000 parcels within the month. This initiative is being conducted in cooperation with the Iraqi Red Crescent.

Emcet Fuat, an operations official for the Iraqi Red Crescent's Kirkuk branch, noted that the number of people requiring assistance has increased due to recent conflicts in the Middle East involving the US, Israel, and Iran. He emphasized that the goal is to alleviate the burden on local families facing rising daily prices.
