Turkish Red Crescent uses women's handicrafts to fund soup kitchens in Kars
In Kars, the Turkish Red Crescent Women's Workshop is launching an initiative to turn handmade products into hot meals for those in need. Volunteer women are producing various handicrafts under the guidance of instructors to generate resources for the Kars Red Crescent Soup Kitchen.
These products will be sold at periodic charity markets. The revenue generated from these sales will be used to ensure the sustainability of the soup kitchen, allowing the organization to provide hot meals to citizens in need. Kübra Hüryurt, President of the Kars Red Crescent Branch, stated that the initiative creates a ‘chain of goodness,’ where the purchase of a product directly contributes to delivering a meal to someone's door.
