Turkish Schools Showcase Art Exhibition and Preserve Folk Songs

Students of Ulalar Middle School in Erzincan opened a year‑end painting exhibition featuring charcoal and acrylic works. The event, hosted in a shopping centre, was attended by the provincial education director Hacı Ömer Kartal and other officials, who praised the students’ artistic development.

In Çankırı, teachers and students of Selahattin Nal Fine Arts High School participated in the Ministry of National Education’s “Anadolu’nun Öz Güzel Sanatların Söz Projesi.” Over eight months they documented nine previously unrecorded folk songs, notated them, and organized a concert to bring the material to the public, aiming to safeguard the region’s musical heritage.
