Turkish Singer İlyas Yalçıntaş Tests Positive for THC in Drug Probe

Toxicological analyses released in July 2026, carried out by the Bakırköy Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office, confirmed that singer İlyas Yalçıntaş tested positive for THC in blood, urine and hair samples. The same investigation found that fellow singer Sıla Gençoğlu’s test was negative for any illicit substances. Other detained individuals showed mixed results: Ayşenur Balcı and Asude Mercan tested positive for cocaine, while Buğra Balkaya’s samples also contained THC. Following the findings, a sulh ceza hakimliği ordered the formal arrest of İlyas Yalçıntaş and several others on charges related to the manufacture and trafficking of narcotics and stimulants.
